My new contest callsign OM7K was first time used in this contest. Much shorter calls significantly decrease operating time per QSO compared to my main callsign OM7RU.
High bands was much productive after long time from my station. They started to cooperate again.
I started on 40m, but 9 minutes without any answer, also morning without opening to NA. 40m didn’t work on Saturday at all. I spent most of time on 80m / 160m. 20m and 15m with good openings and pileups periods, 10m only for mults on Saturday. No time before the contest, so installation of temporary antennas consumed 1 hour of operating time on Saturday morning.
Sunday started with low rates. Openings with good pileups on 10m and 15m incresad rates around noon and then also on 20m. When contest came to the final, 40m started to be wide open to NA, Nice pileups till the end.
Some new QRM occured. No idea, if local or global. Station HW and SW work perfect, except one minor mike cable fault.
Thanks to everybody, big relax, as usually.
See you in peace times, without need of restrictions, if ever…
